Hi, I’m Jūratė, the heart behind La Sirena Vacations. I plan private journeys that go beyond the typical itinerary, and I guide them in English, Lithuanian and Spanish.
From Lithuania to the United States, Argentina and Valencia
I was born in Lithuania and have been lucky to call several places home: the United States, Argentina for twelve years, and now Valencia. Each one taught me to love new cultures, languages and ways of life, and I created La Sirena Vacations to share that with curious travellers like you.
The places I know from the inside
In Valencia I know which arrocería in El Palmar has room for a group at lunchtime and which streets fill during Fallas. In Argentina I know which bodega in Cafayate pours a real Torrontés. In Lithuania I grew up with the language and the history. Wherever we go, my local partners and I take the same care over every day, so you see each place through a local’s eyes.
Why the name La Sirena?
My name, Jūratė, comes from a Lithuanian legend about a mermaid who lived in the Baltic Sea. In Spanish, La Sirena means “the mermaid”.
The name carries my Baltic roots, my love for the sea and my love of storytelling, in the language of the city I now call home.
